Pasta
When ordering pasta, it is important to specify if it is preferred “Al Dente” or well cooked. Al Dente means until it is neither mushy nor crunchy, but has a texture ideal to bite into, hence the Italian name “to the teeth”.
Al Dente is recognized as giving the best taste in dishes and most delicious consistency for the pasta.
Our Pizza
Why is our pizza so different? Here at Fresco we only use high qualities ingredients and long-rising pizza dough fermentation for 72 hr, that makes our pizza smooth and very digestible.
As the novelist Elisabeth Gilbert writes in her book Eat, Pray and Love
“Neapolitan Pizza is soft chewy and incredibly thin. You try to take a bite off your slice and the gummy crust folds, and the hot cheese runs away like topsoil in a landslide. When I look to myself in the mirror of the best pizzeria in Naples, I see a bright eyed, clear-skinned, happy and healthy face”.
So what are you waiting for? Put a happy face on, and enjoy tasting our delicious Napolitan pizza in Fresco.
Our Gelato
Come to Fresco and you will find the real Italian Gelato.
Although Gelato it is commonly called ice-cream, there are remarkable differences in how the two products are made and taste.
Gelato typically contains 70% less air and more flavoring than other kinds of frozen desserts. This often gives gelato a more robust flavor than ice cream, as the extra fat from the cream in ice cream can dull the flavor in it.
Ice cream has 14 to 17 percent butterfat, gelato only contains 3 to 8 percent. That’s because ice cream uses lots of heavy cream, while gelato uses milk.
Italian gelato is served about 10 to 15 degrees warmer than ice cream, at about 7 to 12 degrees Fahrenheit, so the mouth is less numb and better able to taste it.
